The Yusupovs were the princely family which was very close to the Imperial Romanovs house.

Involved in all court intrigues, the Yusupovs stood at the center of the famous murder plot aimed at the last imperial favorite Gregory Rasputin. Rasputin’s murder happened in the palace in 1916.
