Erarta is the unique project for St Petersburg. This is the only arts museum where you do not see notorious grumpy museum “babushkas” in the halls, and get well-organized, well-lit and air-conditioned 5-storey space instead. From the very start Erarta project was customer-oriented, which is no wonder since this is the private museum. The largest private Russian art museum in Russia, so far.
Tour to the Erarta contemporary art museum is completely different from other excursions. This is not a boring lecture, but a vivid show, involving sounds, videos, 3-D technologies. Fine art evolves, and it is the only museum that evolves together with the current of history.
Erarta is aimed at getting you interested in the contemporary Russian art. There are more than 2000 works in Erarta collection, from many regions of the country, ranging from Malevich followers to neo-impressionists. This is also the great place to go with the kids, since there are quite many things they can touch, climb on and play with (and at the same time enjoy the artworks).
Everyone is a painter deep inside – that is Erarta slogan, which is inspiring indeed.
